It's Friday Night...

...and I'm almost ready for bed! I have no life anymore lol. I do need to get some sleep tonight though since I have to be up bright and early for Rachel's wedding! I really hope everything goes perfect for her day tomorrow and I'm able to capture it in a way she loves!

Anyways...the main reason I decided to post tonight is to share a few pictures of my amazingly messy child. That almost always means Bentley in our house. I swear you can give him anything there is to eat and he will make a mess out of it somehow. Well tonight we had spaghetti. We haven't had it for a long time but we know how he is so we even put down a towel under his chair so the carpet didn't get stained. It was probably a good thing too because believe it or not there was plenty that missed his mouth!

Sorry, no pics of the other two tonight...I cleared all of my memory cards for the wedding so I wasn't going to even take pictures today but I couldn't pass this up!

I suppose I'll post from the list of questions while I'm here and then I have to go shower and get ready for bed! Probably read for a bit since it isn't usually possible to sleep this early.

What is your dream job, and why? I honestly go between two daily. I would absolutely love to be a photographer. However, there are soo many out there and so many people don't believe in paying what they should for photography, that I just don't see it as a career I would happy with financially. I would love to take a few classes and take the time to learn my camera better, but it'll have to just remain a hobby. I am however going to school for my other dream job. I want to become an OB nurse...probably in labor and delivery. I am not 100% on that yet, as I don't know if I really want the hospital setting or office setting yet, but in that field for sure. I love being pregnant and I have learned so much each time that I would love to be able to share my knowledge and experience with others.

Something to do...

I'm having a rough day so this may end up more of a vent instead of being like my normal posts.

A few days ago I noticed my foot was sore. I figured it was just a muscle acting up from working out and I tried to brush it off. It is getting way worse though now and it isn't bruised or anything so I have no idea what to do. I really don't want to stop the 30 Day Shred because I have never made it this far and I really want to lose weight, but at the same time I am gaining weight instead of losing it since I started and it is extremely frustrating. I know it takes time to notice a difference but I feel like I should see something by now!

I'm also stressing out a lot about feeding Korbin. When I started out breastfeeding I just wanted to take it day by day and when I couldn't do it anymore oh well...that isn't the case anymore though. With all of the appointments we've been having to go to in Des Moines lately, my stash has gone down extremely quickly. Korbin hates the car so he isn't able to go with us. My husband got me tickets to the Miranda Lambert concert Sunday night but I'm so paranoid I won't have enough milk for him if I go. I've gone as far as considering taking him with, but I don't want it to be too loud for him because I want to enjoy it too. I reallly don't want to give in to formula but I don't know what I'm going to do right now:(

I did make some lactation cookies today though! I figured why not try it...even if they don't work they are made with healthy stuff (minus the chocolate chips) so they won't hurt anything. They are actually really good and I'm proud of myself for even trying them considering how picky of an eater I usually am and these have organic stuff I've never touched before in them. If anyone wants the recipe I used it's here: http://www.drmomma.org/2010/08/lactation-cookies-recipe-increasing.html?m=1 and I made the first ones!

Just to make it more like a normal post I'll throw in a few pics of the boys from today:) Korbin STILL hasn't cut the darn teeth that have been bothering him so he has been extra needy but is still pretty happy as long as I have him with me most of the time. The other two have been pretty ornery all day for some reason so I took them outside to get rid of some extra energy. That didn't work as well as planned because Bentley kept throwing stuff at Jax so he got sent inside.
Korbin just woke up from a catnap and Jax was talking to him...he adores his big brothers:)

Bentley going down the slide into the pool!

Jax obviously being a dork

In keeping up with my list today's topic is: 6. What is the hardest thing you have ever experienced? I can easily say that having a miscarriage was by far the hardest thing I've ever dealt with. Nobody can prepare themselves for the feelings that go along with losing a baby and like most, I walked into the pregnancy expecting it to go completely textbook like my last one had. After losing the baby (I won't go into details here), I was constantly paranoid throughout the pregnancies after. Thankfully I was blessed with two amazing boys after my loss though. I am much more comfortable knowing that everything happens for a reason and that if I hadn't lost that baby I wouldn't have the sweet family I do now.

The Past Week....

Sorry it took so long to get here...I decided I better do my workout first so I didn't change my mind. I am on day 5 which is the longest I've ever kept with it (30 Day Shred). I feel so much better about myself by keeping it up with no excuses. Tonight I have a headache but I made myself push through and sure enough, I made it out alive. I am determined to finally get rid of some of this weight. Now if I could just kick my eating habits into a better place I might actually get somewhere faster. Oh well, one thing at a time:)

Since I've been so behind on blogging I'll start back with last Friday and our playdate! Two friends from high school were getting together and invited me along. Jenny lives in Missouri now so I figured it'd be fun to see her again and meet her kids and Maddison's kids too! The boys all enjoyed themselves. Jaxton took a while but fit right in with Maddison's boys, Bentley kind of strayed off by himself as usual, and Korbin loved Abigail! It was also nice to actually talk to a couple of moms my age with kids similar ages!
I wish we had gotten pictures of them right away, but I was slow getting the camera out. By now Korbin is like ok, you're not as entertaining as you were before, but Abigail was just warming up to him!

He grabbed her shirt and tried to eat it, so she is getting him back!

Love that crazy face!

Holding hands:)

Jax and the kids playing with an ant

Bentley cheesin
Fast forward through a pretty much uneventful week of work, fighting Bentley to sleep in his new toddler bed, not sleeping because Korbin is restless, and working out. Yesterday we took Jaxton to see his first movie at the theater. We told him if he had a good day the day before and slept in his room for two nights without coming into our room (he ALWAYS comes to our room in the middle of the night if he goes to sleep in his bed) that we would take him...he actually made it! I'm pretty sure he like the popcorn, M&M's, and pop, along with being alone with us, more than the movie itself. We had the theater to ourselves which was awesome for his first time. We went to Spiderman and he got bored until Spiderman actually was there (as he knew him) and then toward the last half hour got really bored and anxious to leave. He didn't do too bad for his first time though and if it had been a shorter movie or even a kid's movie (he's into superheroes though so that's why he wanted that movie), he may have been better.

This makes it look like daddy was stealing his popcorn lol
Since it has finally been under 100 degrees out we cleaned out the kids' play area outside again and this morning filled up the pool with clean water. They were supposed to be playing in the sandbox but when I turned away for a second because Korbin was flailing in my arms, Bentley jumped in the pool...fully clothed. Before I could even say anything Jaxton joined. So instead of fighting a battle that wasn't worth it, they played in the freezing water fully clothed for a while.

While they took naps I did some running around. Sent in my wedding ring since the diamond wasn't centered and it was driving me crazy...so now I feel naked. I also went and talked to Rochelle Green about doing our Trash the Dress session later this month. I'm still surprised my husband is letting me do them AND is going to be in them with me:) I can't wait! For anyone who doesn't know, our 5 year anniversary is on the 18th and since I hadn't heard of trash the dress back then, I thought it would be a fun idea to dress up a little again and do them now!

As of today I now have a big 6 month old! He is up to 17lbs now but seems like he is bigger than that. He is still such a sweetie even though the poor guy has been teething hardcore only to still have no teeth:( It also means I have hit 6 months of breastfeeding which I am extremely proud of! When I started I never dreamed I'd make it this long but would love to make it to a year!

As usual I had to take pictures of my baby...for the first time in a few months the other two didn't care to come and have their pictures taken too. They kind of had attitudes today though so it didn't bother me at all.
Happy little man!

The tie was a little bigger than I thought but oh well:)

He wanted to eat it so bad! Don't worry Daddy was reaching to stop him as I snapped the picture so he didn't get it!
Now I'll post the next thing from the list and then I'm off to bed to hopefully sleep off this headache! 5. What are the 5 things that make you most happy right now?
1) My kids. Plain and simple. They are my world.
2) My husband. Yes we have our days...but I still love him to death and really hope that nothing ever comes between us.
3) The fact that I'm finally going back to school and know what I want to do
4) Taking pictures...lots of them:)
5) The fact that for the first time in a long time I have made it so that I am comfortable with myself. I tend to be somewhat negative and I have made it so that although there are things I don't like about myself, I know what to do to change them and I am working toward that. Other things I have learned I just have to deal with and keep smiling.

Splashpad and Playtime!

This afternoon my sister asked if I wanted to go to the splashpad with her and Kayden. Jaxton was still napping and had already been there earlier in the morning so I packed up Bentley and Korbin and off we went! This was the first time Korbin had been there and apparently it was just what he needed today. The poor guy has been really fussy thanks to teething, but he was perfectly calm watching the water. That is until it splashed on him lol. He cuddled mommy most of the time and even fell asleep...until the water hit him again!

He was told to smile for GaGa...he stuck out his tongue instead:)

Bentley had fun too but I didn't get pictures of him because my mom and sister were party poopers and don't like cameras so they didn't want to help me. Oh well, there's always next time!

Tonight the kids were downright ornery. To get them out of this mood I went and played with them and their guys to keep them from a)hitting each other, b)knocking over each other's guys, and c)to make time go by faster. Luckily all of the reasons listed worked out and they had a lot of fun and didn't want me to stop when Korbin got tired of his jumperoo. Here is what I spent quite a bit of time doing tonight...

I love these boys<3 They really make me test my patience some nights but at the end of the day it's all worth it.

Korbin's First Food...and more!

So, I know he is just shy of 6 months, but this kid wants to try everything near him! I have been doing so good with holding off but last night I decided he is close enough and this poor baby really wants to eat something! Since I had some mashed potatoes I decided to let him try just a little bit of them and he was so thrilled to be allowed to eat something! Obviously they don't have a lot of flavor so it was nothing amazing but I plan to go out and buy some avacado for him in the next day or two.
Trying to steal Bentley's food

"Let me feed myself!"

He didn't want to let go of the spoon lol

"He's really giving it to me?!"

"What is this?!"

Licking up anything he missed

Happy lil man!

This week I only work one morning and don't have any doctor appointments for anyone so I actually have so free time! I have a couple of playdates planned which will be pretty fun for the kids and I:) Those are later in the week though so I'll try to post some pictures after they take place.

It's been a while since I've updated on my progress of my Day Zero Project so I'll try and catch that up a little bit. I have actually gotten a few more done, started a couple of others, and added to more. I am getting the feeling I might not be able to complete them all like I wanted to, but looking at the list I can still knock quite a few off in a short time if I really wanted to! Here's what's been done:

8)Finish my wedding scrapbook-COMPLETE! This took almost five years but it is finally done!

9)Read 101 books (42/101)-I think I read a couple of others I forgot to write down so I didn't add them in and won't unless I think of what they were. I'm currently reading the 50 Shades series and they're pretty good! I'm just about done with book #2 and keep having late nights because I won't put it down.

19)Buy Jaxton rainboots and play in the rain. So I bought the rainboots over a month ago but we haven't been getting any rain! We need it so badly and I think he will really have fun with this!

29)Record a video of the boys. I've actually recorded quite a few of them and usually post them on Facebook when I do. It's so cute going back and seeing how they were just a short time ago!

33)Backup all pictures online. I've backed up over 13,000 so far and I'm not quite done with 2011. Not to mention the stuff I didn't back up yet from before Jaxton was born :s I think I take a few pictures!

35) Send at least 10 birthday cards in one year (3/10). I love getting mail and so I thought this one would be fun. I've been trying to send cards out to friends and some of their kids when I think about it.

41) Save the change in my purse for six months. (2/6) I'm curious to see how much I end up with! It's hard not to spend it sometimes but I've been doing pretty good at just using cash!

61) Add to foot tattoo. I'm so happy this one is finally done!!  I have been wanting to get it fixed and added to for quite a while but just didn't know what I wanted to do. I asked around for a little help and a friend helped me come up with a cute design to fix it. I'm so much happier with it now and really want more ink!

Before...the person did a horrible job. Long story short, I never went back there.
After! Much better thanks to Jill for helping design it and Tre for tattooing!
73)Watch 101 movies I forgot what I am up to but I know it isn't very high. I love watching movies but with the kids it's hard to do sometimes! I did add 12 since I last updated though:)

That's all the updates for now! Hopefully more will be coming soon.

Playing Catch-up Yet Again

I've been horrible with blogging lately. I have all intentions of keeping up and then time just gets away from me and before I know it, it's been over a week since my last post! Korbin keeps going through a phase where he doesn't want to go to sleep at night unless we are in bed and that's my time to get stuff done...so nothing has been getting done!

I feel like life has been hectic lately, but really it's just everyday stuff adding up fast. I need like 10 more hours in a day so I can get everything done I want to. I'm scared for how little time I'll have when I actually start my classes next month! I am super excited to finally be going to school and knowing exactly what I want. I take the test they require with applications for the program next week and then I can send in my app and play the waiting game. Fingers crossed!

Not much new to report on the kiddos. They've been keeping me plenty busy as usual. Here's a few pics of their finished shirts from the 4th

And just because I can...some more of cute little Korbin

He's such a sweetheart and is just getting too big too fast!! He wants to crawl and that scares the crap out of me! I'm not ready for another mobile child!

I'll just post the answers to the list every time that I actually post since daily isn't working again. I'm on 3. Describe your relationship with your parents. Right now I have a great relationship with my mom. I talk to her about every day and I'm sure I drive her crazy sometimes but that's ok:) My dad I've never really been that close with. When I was pregnant with Jaxton was the most I've ever talked to him and ever since it's just been here and there. I know that if I ever needed something though he'd be there.

Well, naptime is over so back to the real world for a while!

The Eve of July 4th!

Last night ended up being too late for me after opening in the morning, so the post had to wait a few more hours!

So while I was on my way home from work I noticed I had a text. It read "I'm going to cut Jaxton's hair." I immediately replied with No! and got back that it was too late :s Talk about scared to go home!

I got there to find my oldest completely buzzed:( It doesn't look that bad but I'm still getting used to it. Once I fed Korbin, I was informed that we were going to McDonald's for lunch because it was part of the bribe to cut Jax's hair. The other part of the bribe included that he got to play Lego Batman 2 when we got home lol
The actually listened and ate when they were told to

They kept climbing up the slide before going back down

He found a buddy

Jax always has to sit there before we leave...so Bentley had to also
After naptime I took the kids over to my mom's to paint shirts for today. They had a lot of fun with it and Bentley probably would have done three if I'd have let him!

Finished products to come in a later post:)
Then last night was fireworks! For leaving so early to get a parking spot, the boys actually were really good...especially for not even liking the fireworks! I realized about half an hour after we got there that I had grabbed my lens for my good camera, but forgot the camera! Soo cheap camera pics it is
Playing in the car

He made a ton of money last night!

Not enjoying them

Too loud

Jaxton's picture of fireworks

He actually really liked them but the light on my camera scared him
Today's post for the list I had posted is 2. Describe 3 legitimate fears you have and explain how they became fears.
1) The first would be probably what any parent would say: to lose any of my children. This became a fear before I even had Jaxton. It has to be the worst thing in the world for parents to have to bury their own children and I really pray I never have to go through this. Yes, I have technically lost a child, but that is slightly different and although I also don't want to go through that again, I feel losing one of the children that I actually have now would be a million times harder.
2) I don't know why but I really have a fear of not being a good enough mother to my children. Maybe this stems from the attitude Jaxton has right now and I feel that maybe if we were doing something different he might not be like this, but it also has a lot to do with his age I'm sure. I just hope that my boys can always stay being mama's boys and never truly feel like I was not good enough for them.
3) The last one would be to lose my husband. Yes, we fight quite a bit sometimes, but I still love him and so do the boys. I really hope that he is able to get his head issue straightened out soon because I feel like it has caused more stress lately and I hate seeing him in pain.

Today's post will be 3. Describe your relationship with your parents. I'll post this one later tonight hopefully with pics from today.
