Our FIVE Years Together

It's hard to decide if it seems like it's flown by or like we've been married forever. When I look back and think of how much has happened in the past five years it seems like it's been way longer but at the same time it's gone by in a blink of an eye. We've moved numerous times (I know that's an understatement for those of you who know us), had three amazing children (although today I don't know if I want to claim two of them), and had plenty of ups and downs, but here we are. Don't get me wrong, it hasn't always been easy by any means, but we both have a strong desire to make things work out. I really hope in another five years I can say the same thing...only with less moves and one more kid;) If you're reading this babe I love you and I always will<3 Thank you for always being there for me, even when it has meant sacrificing your own happiness for mine.

Here is a little photo trip down memory lane

My Little Drummer Boys

Today I decided to be nice and get out Bentley's drum he got for his birthday. Yes, it has taken me two months to finally give it to him but we weren't quite ready for the fights and noise at the time he got it. Luckily the boys got along really well with it though and as expected, it was a hit!

Kayden came over for a while tonight too so the boys were making faces

Jax took the ones of Kayden

I really haven't had much to blog on this week. I worked four days which is a lot for me. I dug into Rachel's wedding pictures and feel like I barely got anywhere so far (ya I know...quit blogging then). I am so glad I have no desire to do this for a living anymore! I'll stick to torturing my kids:)

I'm going to do the next item on the list then go snuggle with Korbin and watch a movie. He was really restless last night so an early night would be nice and Toad is gone tonight so I get to watch a chick flick!

What are 5 passions you have?
1. Taking pictures is a given. I love being able to look back at special moments...they go by too fast
2. Spending time with my kids and husband. Even though I sometimes want a day away, I miss them like crazy if I'm gone very long.
3. Helping others. I think this is why I want to go into nursing. I feel very strongly about helping people out, especially those in need.
4. Breastfeeding. Never thought I'd come to love it like I do but it really is an amazing thing!
5. Music. I probably get this from my mom but I miss playing music on the piano and flute. I listen to music quite a bit!

Rachel and Andy got MARRIED!

Yesterday was an amazing day! One of my best friends married the man of her dreams. She has been planning and stressing out over this wedding for a year now and it was all worth it because everything was perfect. Rachel and Andy are perfect for each other and I am so happy for them both.
Getting ready...these curls took forever because her hair is soo long!

It turned out gorgeous though! Even if the headband killed her the rest of the day

Make-up time...

The rings

Programs and rings

Andy getting ready. He wasn't near as nervous as Rachel was!

Before the wedding.

During the ceremony

Limo! They are finally married!!

The ladies at Amigos

They played pool on their first date so this was perfect

Wedding party down at Amigos! Ray was hiding a little bit

Cake table at the reception. The lighting was beautiful!!

Loved the board telling their story!

Cutting the cake

They were nice lol

Love this one

He is truly happy with her. He told me while we were dancing how she completes him and is a part of him. It was so sweet and I am so happy she found someone that makes her as happy as she does him.

Bride and Flowergirl!

Rachel and I during the dollar dance!

The Wishing Tree. This was an awesome idea. The guests all had to write their well wishes for the couple on the tags and hang them on the tree. The picture doesn't do justice for how pretty it really was!
There are TONS more pictures but I haven't had time to go through them all yet. I just wanted to post a few I picked out of the bunch for them to see before heading off to Vegas tomorrow! Best of luck to you both and I love you guys!!

It's Friday Night...

...and I'm almost ready for bed! I have no life anymore lol. I do need to get some sleep tonight though since I have to be up bright and early for Rachel's wedding! I really hope everything goes perfect for her day tomorrow and I'm able to capture it in a way she loves!

Anyways...the main reason I decided to post tonight is to share a few pictures of my amazingly messy child. That almost always means Bentley in our house. I swear you can give him anything there is to eat and he will make a mess out of it somehow. Well tonight we had spaghetti. We haven't had it for a long time but we know how he is so we even put down a towel under his chair so the carpet didn't get stained. It was probably a good thing too because believe it or not there was plenty that missed his mouth!

Sorry, no pics of the other two tonight...I cleared all of my memory cards for the wedding so I wasn't going to even take pictures today but I couldn't pass this up!

I suppose I'll post from the list of questions while I'm here and then I have to go shower and get ready for bed! Probably read for a bit since it isn't usually possible to sleep this early.

What is your dream job, and why? I honestly go between two daily. I would absolutely love to be a photographer. However, there are soo many out there and so many people don't believe in paying what they should for photography, that I just don't see it as a career I would happy with financially. I would love to take a few classes and take the time to learn my camera better, but it'll have to just remain a hobby. I am however going to school for my other dream job. I want to become an OB nurse...probably in labor and delivery. I am not 100% on that yet, as I don't know if I really want the hospital setting or office setting yet, but in that field for sure. I love being pregnant and I have learned so much each time that I would love to be able to share my knowledge and experience with others.

Something to do...

I'm having a rough day so this may end up more of a vent instead of being like my normal posts.

A few days ago I noticed my foot was sore. I figured it was just a muscle acting up from working out and I tried to brush it off. It is getting way worse though now and it isn't bruised or anything so I have no idea what to do. I really don't want to stop the 30 Day Shred because I have never made it this far and I really want to lose weight, but at the same time I am gaining weight instead of losing it since I started and it is extremely frustrating. I know it takes time to notice a difference but I feel like I should see something by now!

I'm also stressing out a lot about feeding Korbin. When I started out breastfeeding I just wanted to take it day by day and when I couldn't do it anymore oh well...that isn't the case anymore though. With all of the appointments we've been having to go to in Des Moines lately, my stash has gone down extremely quickly. Korbin hates the car so he isn't able to go with us. My husband got me tickets to the Miranda Lambert concert Sunday night but I'm so paranoid I won't have enough milk for him if I go. I've gone as far as considering taking him with, but I don't want it to be too loud for him because I want to enjoy it too. I reallly don't want to give in to formula but I don't know what I'm going to do right now:(

I did make some lactation cookies today though! I figured why not try it...even if they don't work they are made with healthy stuff (minus the chocolate chips) so they won't hurt anything. They are actually really good and I'm proud of myself for even trying them considering how picky of an eater I usually am and these have organic stuff I've never touched before in them. If anyone wants the recipe I used it's here: http://www.drmomma.org/2010/08/lactation-cookies-recipe-increasing.html?m=1 and I made the first ones!

Just to make it more like a normal post I'll throw in a few pics of the boys from today:) Korbin STILL hasn't cut the darn teeth that have been bothering him so he has been extra needy but is still pretty happy as long as I have him with me most of the time. The other two have been pretty ornery all day for some reason so I took them outside to get rid of some extra energy. That didn't work as well as planned because Bentley kept throwing stuff at Jax so he got sent inside.
Korbin just woke up from a catnap and Jax was talking to him...he adores his big brothers:)

Bentley going down the slide into the pool!

Jax obviously being a dork

My smiley sweetheart
In keeping up with my list today's topic is: 6. What is the hardest thing you have ever experienced? I can easily say that having a miscarriage was by far the hardest thing I've ever dealt with. Nobody can prepare themselves for the feelings that go along with losing a baby and like most, I walked into the pregnancy expecting it to go completely textbook like my last one had. After losing the baby (I won't go into details here), I was constantly paranoid throughout the pregnancies after. Thankfully I was blessed with two amazing boys after my loss though. I am much more comfortable knowing that everything happens for a reason and that if I hadn't lost that baby I wouldn't have the sweet family I do now.

After getting a little out I suppose I will try and exercise. Then I will probably finish up my scrapbook mess I have out and curl up with my book and my baby<3
