Sesame Street Live!

I didn't even realize it's been a few days since my last post. I've been keeping somewhat busy and sadly I don't even remember with what exactly! Kids I'm sure:) So I'm just going to skip over to yesterday, pictures and all! We took the boys to see Sesame Street Live!

The early morning was a little bit interesting, as was expected. I set my alarm and since Korbin wasn't awake yet, I hurried and showered. Well, when I got out my alarm was going off again because apparently I forgot to turn off the alarm and had just hit snooze:s My husband was ready to kill me before 6:30am....oops. Luckily neither of the boys woke up to it.

After I finished getting dressed Korbin woke up and we went on with our normal routine. Then about 7:15 I went in to start waking up Jax (this process usually takes quite a while) and he unexpectedly hopped right up and came downstairs. Bentley followed shortly behind. Once getting them set for the morning, I took Korbin over to my mom's for the day. I wanted to cry leaving my baby for so long but I knew it was a better choice.

Shortly after 8 we took off for Des Moines. We thought we were doing good by not putting the boys in the clothes we wanted them to wear for the day right away since we were getting donuts on the way there...they did get chocolate on their shirts so it was a good thing. However, when we saw the chocolate on their faces we realized we didn't grab any wipes.......or diapers! This meant we had to make a quick stop in Webster City at KMart to grab the forgotten necessities.

Other than that little mishap it was a fairly smooth trip. Bentley was a little cranky, especially at the end, but he hates car rides and waking up to one probably wasn't exactly fun for him.

We got there a little early and got the boys some toys as soon as we went in. Jax instantly wanted the toy that spins and lights up. Bentley just said "Elmo" and pointed toward a big stuffed Elmo so we got that...then he cried because he wanted the Elmo toy Jax had so we had to get that for him too. Sadly, he still wants nothing to do with the $25 stuffed Elmo lol. Once we had those we went off to find our seats. I was taking a few pics of the boys and the lady in front of us offered to take a family picture for us:) I decided I kind of like these family type events when there are people like that around!

One thing that threw us off right away after sitting down was a guy walking down the aisle with two bottles of BEER! Seriously?! It was 10:30AM at a KID event! If you seriously need beer that bad then don't go to it. I found it extremely ridiculous and really think they shouldn't have been selling it.

Once it started the boys were really good. Jax got into it right away and Bentley just stared for the most part. I don't think he knew what to think lol. I noticed right away how bummed I was that I just took in my point and shoot instead of my good camera. We had decent seats and the pics would've been really good on my dslr but the zoom pics on my p&s aren't great. Oh well, too late now.

How Bentley stared half the time

So then they did the worst thing for several parents...intermission. The show was only an hour and a half to begin with so I didn't really think this was necessary. Yes, I know, a lot of the kids may have been the potty training age, but we got up with Jax in the middle so why can't they? lol I think it was just to sell more junk. As soon as it started this guy walked out with a HUGE bundle of Elmo balloons. Of course every kid in the place wanted one. So down to the floor and in line Bentley and I go...only to spend $20 on two balloons! I wasn't extremely surprised by the price but come on people!

After intermission it was noticeably louder in there since the kids wanted to walk around more and play with their balloons (there were already plenty on the ceiling). The boys were good until about half an hour til the end, Bentley started getting restless, which didn't surprise me. I took him up to the landing and stood with him for a bit but it didn't work really long.

I finally had to take him out into the open area so he could get down and move around a little. I had to go to the bathroom so I took him with and that was a mistake. The little turd opened the door on me....twice! Luckily it was close enough I could grab it and pull it shut and nobody was in there! He also decided he needed to look under the stalls lol.

We went back to try and sit again but daddy and Jax were missing. I went back out to the main area and they were just returning from the bathroom. Well, Bentley didn't want to go back in but Jax did so we traded kids and Bentley and daddy went to the car while Jax and I watched the last 10 minutes of the show.

We wanted to run to a few stores after the show so we drove over to Jordan Creek Mall. Bentley had already fell asleep so we didn't all go in. Then we went over to Valley West since I wanted to run to a store in there and we were going to eat...the food court sucked so that was a fail. I did get a new purse finally though:)

The rest of the drive home was calm. I was more than happy to go pick up Korbin again when we got back. He wasn't happy with me at first but wouldn't let me put him down either. We hung out with the boys outside for a bit and watched a movie last night:)

Since this post has taken almost 3 hours for me to get finished between all of the kids I am finally going to hit publish and leave this darn computer for the day...hopefully I get to take a nap soon!

Trip to the Carnival!

The carnival that is in town is seriously the smallest I've ever seen, but it was very kid friendly so it was fine for me:) I've been wanting to take Jax so I pawned off the other two boys and it was a little time away with mommy and daddy for him (I thought it might be too much for Bentley).

I really wasn't sure how much he would like it because he is hard to predict with rides and such but he loved everything we did! He went into the little fun house twice because he loves climbing and the different things he got to go through in it. He went on the elephants that went up in circles with me and I really thought once we got up high he would complain and want it to stop but he enjoyed it the whole time! We also went down the huge slide together, which I thought would freak him out, but wrong again! I'm so glad we got the chance to go, even though we weren't there long. It's ridiculous how much you spend for just a few rides!

To back track a little...this morning I made homemade finger paints! Thank you Pinterest:) We didn't get the chance to use them since they were still hot so I plan on trying them out tomorrow.
We also went outside and the boys got to play in their sandbox (and with other toys) for quite a while. They had a ton of fun with it, especially when I would build something and they both knocked it down. I love them giggling at little things like that<3
Then to add to my day I got to take maternity pictures for a friend of mine:) Her daughter didn't want to cooperate for some of the fun ones we wanted her in....but that's what almost 2 year olds do! We may try some of those again later but we got some good shots of just her! Once I get the time to go through them and share them with her I may post a few.

Today's photo theme was "what you are reading" and I don't have a picture because I haven't had time to read lately! I bought a new book a couple of weeks ago but haven't had the chance to even open it yet.

I am about to fall asleep as I type though so nothing else to post for now!

Sleeeeeep

My sweet little man got me up at 5:15am this morning! We got another hour or so of sleep before the other munchkins got up but it was not enough for this mama! I think he is confused...he slept so good right after he was born and now he's getting worse at it. For some sick reason I am still up. Well, it might be because there were two episodes of 16 and Pregnant on tonight and I feel the need to watch it. I can't wait for June 12th though for the original girls to be back on!! Ya, I know, I'm crazy:D There aren't many shows that are on late enough for me to enjoy without kids screaming that Elmo or Spongebob isn't on though so having one I enjoy isn't bad.

Today's photo theme was "love" and I chose to go with this one:
I absolutely love snuggling with my kids, especially as babies<3 This is probably why I chose to cosleep with them. It's actually funny to think about the fact that before having Jaxton I was against it 100%. After he got here an would wake up alll the time unless he was sleeping with me, I changed my mind slowly. By the time I had Bentley I just planned on cosleeping. Korbin, there was no question about it:) He is my little snuggler and it is the sweetest thing ever. Even right now when he is in the bassinet so I can do whatever I want, I feel guilty for not holding him! They just don't stay small long enough at all:(

Well, my little man is starting to stir so I guess he knew I was talking about him. Off I go to snuggle!

Ohhhh...

I have a lot I feel like ranting on...partly because I was reading some random blogs while feeding Korbin earlier today, but I think I'll hold off and do it later. I've been somewhat cranky today for some reason and Jax just woke up for some reason so I'll go lay with him again in a minute.

Today was a very lazy day which was nice after a busy weekend. Unfortunately I was up at 5:30am with my dearest little Korbin and he didn't let me get much sleep after that. Oh well, that's what kids will do! Nothing I can do about it but get up and smile back at the cutie.

I did get a super cute pic of the boys though...I had Korbin doing tummy time and once he rolled over both boys decided to lay by him so I had to take a pic:)
Then Jax realized I had my camera out and had to go take pictures of completely random things again...here is another self portrait I thought was cute though and shows off his blue eyes
And now I'll cut it short and just post my photo of the day...the theme was "grass"
Jax wants me to come cuddle, not daddy so off I go!

Mother's Day!

Today was probably one of the nicest days I've had in a while and it wasn't even for any one special reason. This morning started out with Korbin letting me sleep in until almost 7:30 which is amazing compared to the 6am we have been doing most of the week! We went and got donuts for everyone before the boys woke up.

Then I was able to shower and even do my hair with little interruption (Korbin took a nap) before hubby's family came over. I got the boys dressed in cute outfits so we could all take a pic and they managed to get chocolate all over their shirts before I even got out of the shower so I had to do a load of laundry right away but oh well.

Jax was being a goof and had to have my camera (just my point and shoot) so he was taking tons of pictures today. I had to delete about 200 off of my memory card and I already have to charge the battery again lol. He does pretty good though! Here are some he took
Happy in his Elmo shirt....again

Korbin was snuggly most of the day<3

Pretty good pic for being taken by a 3 year old!
I helped with this one
This is just one of the two dozen self portraits he took!

He managed to get Daddy, his, Grandma, Bentley, and my feet in this picture

It was a very relaxed afternoon and we had a nice lunch. Then the five of us got in a THREE hour nap! I was in shock when I looked at the clock and it was already 5! I think Korbin must be hitting a growth spurt because he has slept a lot today. It could be that there's just been a lot going on too but it's nice to have a little time to put him down.

After we all got up I found out my mom decided to cancel our plans to go to Applebee's since they were packed all day long (duh!) and they wanted to just grill out instead. Fine with me because then I didn't have to stress out about chasing kids around a restaurant! All I had asked for for Mother's Day was for my husband to take a nice pic of me with the boys...so we decided to attempt this before going over there. Earlier when the boys took off their chocolate stained shirts Bentley had to have his Elmo one back on and this meant a huge tantrum when we tried taking it off for a second time LOL Considering this was the worst thing I had to deal with all day though and it was funny to me, I'll take it.
Bentley's tantrum *pic by Jax*
Trying to put Elmo back on

The best one we could get without a kid running away lol

Obviously the pics didn't turn out amazing but I didn't expect a miracle...

Soo then we headed over to my parent's house for a bit. The boys all got along pretty good and for once Jaxton didn't even have to be warned about a time out and didn't even get mad at Kayden for taking things from him. I'm still in shock over how well he acted all day *knock on wood* Here are some of the pics of them playing outside
Another photo by Jax lol

Hangin out with Papa

Three of the four monsters

He sat in this car forever

Another nap

They all love chalk

"Look! It's a rocketship!"

And last but not least we have to have the cutest video ever of the boys together. They love the song "Five Little Monkeys" my mom does and they were all dancing and singing along...ok have to go to Facebook to check it because it keeps giving me an error:(

Today's photo theme was "mum" and I think I posted enough pictures of me with the kiddos so I don't need any more:)

Late Night Post

Since I've been posting about every other day I figured I better not skip tonight because hopefully I'll have some pictures to share from tomorrow...that is all I asked for for Mother's Day so I'm hoping it happens anyway.

Nothing too eventful once again. Yesterday was full of laundry, chasing cranky kids, and mowing the lawn. Today was busy. Spent the morning eat mom's until I had to work. Then worked all afternoon, came home, went to the Mother's Day dinner for hubby's side of the family, and then they all came over for a while. I stayed up late finishing up gifts for tomorrow so I'm just now here. I'm going to share a few pics but otherwise keep it short since I need to get to bed! I'll post more tomorrow night!

Yesterday's theme was kitchen...

And today's was ''something that makes you happy." These are what I made for Mother's Day (bought everyone different gifts also) but they work out well for the theme because they have my boys, flowers, something crafty, and I'm giving them to people. All things that make me happy:)

Don't mind the pic of Korbin...hit the wrong one and didn't notice it until 10pm when it was too late to print them again somewhere!
All right...off to bed now! Good night and Happy Mother's Day in half an hour!!

Nothing new

Last night I decided scrapbooking took priority over blogging once I finally got quiet time...so I got a few pages done before I went to bed. I'm getting so behind it's crazy! I need a day just for scrapbooking to catch them all up! I'm down to only a few pages left of my wedding one which is good since our five year anniversary is coming up in a few months and it'd be sad if it still wasn't done by then lol. I picked up some things I had needed for Korbin's last week so that one is finally moving along again.

There wasn't really anything going on yesterday to blog about. It was just a chill morning and I worked the afternoon. Last night was one of those nights where the kids just made me smile though. Korbin was all snuggled up sleeping with me and Jax was just being a nut. He says some of the craziest things sometimes and even if you're mad at him for something else you can't help but laugh!

Yesterday's photo challenge theme was "your favorite word" and while I was scrapbooking I came across a cute one. I know the word is very original but it really is the best thing there is.

And just for fun since I am a day late posting you get a few bonus pictures of my happy baby about 7am this morning

More later!
