Never enough time

I swear the days go by so fast I never accomplish what I want to! Last night was another night of Korbin not wanting to go to bed without me and since I had to work this morning I just went to sleep early...so I'll start with my few pictures from yesterday!

As soon as I pull out the playmat for Korbin now Bentley is ready to lay next to him. I was so worried about how he would be with Korbin but he absolutely loves him and is a great big brother. It is so sweet<3

Yesterday's theme of the day was "a smell you adore"
I use this after bathtime on Korbin and sometimes Bentley and just love it:)
This morning was kind of crazy. I set my alarm for 6 so I'd have enough time to pump, feed Korbin, and get dressed before going to work...well I accidentally fell back asleep! Thankfully Korbin has been getting up pretty early and started moving around again about 6:15 so I was able to get up and still be ready to go on time!

For some crazy reason I went on a cleaning spree while it was slow at work and it somewhat continued throughout the day. I cleaned completely random things that hadn't been done in a long time. When I got home I had to clean the rest of the carpets that I didn't do last night so that took a while.

After I finished the carpets I ran to the mall to chat with some friends I used to work with and see if Radio Shack had a charger for my camera that stays in my purse. I got it before having Korbin and hadn't seen the charger since, even after looking everywhere! I called Radio Shack yesterday and they had said they had a battery charger but not the one that plugs into my camera..makes no difference to me as long as it gets charged! Well, I walked in there and after 15 minutes of messing with trying to get my battery out and dropping my camera (wasn't too pleased with that one!) they guy proceeds to tell me I can go to radioshack.com and order the one he gave me a number for and it was $39.99! No thanks buddy! I wasn't too please with this response. Buuuut it was good in the end because I was making some oatmeal (since I didn't get to finish my supper) and happened to look at the bowl of random stuff on top of the microwave and saw my charger in there! So now I can finally use my camera again!

Anyways...after the long run at the mall I went back to my mom's since that's where I had left the older two boys (Korbin stayed with me the whole time so they could nap). We rounded up the crew and ran to the store to get stuff for me to make dinner. For anyone who doesn't know me, I don't cook. I can when I really want to...but have a habit of messing up somehow or other. I had found a couple of recipes I really wanted to try and since nobody at home would eat them I called up my mom and asked if I could make them there since they would probably like them. Of course she didn't turn down a good meal without having to cook it herself. Surprisingly it turned out to be really good! I only got one small piece before the boys drove me crazy and I brought them back home, but when I talked to mom earlier she said that was probably all I would get too because her and my dad had both had plenty and dad already planned on taking the rest to work tomorrow:) Pretty surprising for them to actually like what I cooked so much (as long as they didn't really throw it out and just say it was good lol)

Now I'm sitting here surrounded by more that I want to get done and can't decide what to do first so I'm blabbering on here. I am working on Bentley's birthday party invitations again. I need to send some more pictures to be printed. I really want to scrapbook a little since I'm way behind. I want to run but Korbin will wake up once I leave and I'm the only one downstairs with him. I should probably forget it all and go to bed but it won't happen!

I suppose I'll post today's picture of the day and move on to my next project. The theme was "something you do every day" and there are so many things I could have posted but just kept it somewhat simple. Taking pictures is obviously something I do daily:)

A Little of Everything

Last night I didn't get to post because of too much going on so here are pictures of the supermoon from the night before! It wasn't as great as I expected it to be but oh well. I was pretty excited that I got better pictures in manual mode than I was in the auto one:) I am still working with manual sometimes and don't have everything completely down...I actually have never tried pictures at night with it!

After the supermoon I stayed up another couple of hours and started making Bentley's birthday party invitations. I am completely crazy for wanting to use the Cricut for them but I hope they turn out cute! I got lucky because my sister had the Sesame Street cartidge so I just have to deal with cutting out all of the pieces, gluing them on, and drawing in what's left.

The photo of the day theme yesterday was "you" and I didn't take a picture. I was not in any mood to take a picture of myself and couldn't find a paper bag for the picture I wanted to take...

So I didn't explain everything in previous posts because I didn't know if my husband wanted everyone knowing but now that we have answers I will tell why it has been such a stressful weekend. After his accident at work last week he had the CT scan done which showed no damage from the accident but it did show a spot on his brain and they had no clue what it was. He was scheduled for an MRI on Friday and wasn't allowed to go back to work until the results were back and he was cleared by a doctor. Well, of course the results weren't back on Friday afternoon when he called so we had to wait until today to find out what was going on. Thankfully the spot was just a space that is nothing at all to worry about. The doctor did tell us to watch how he feels though because there was no bleeding in the brain yet but it could start any time within the next six months. For some reason this makes me more nervous than the spot did because it could be so hard to notice. We will just hope for the best again though! He is off for the rest of the week because of the concussion so he has been playing Paper Mario quite a bit:)

Today's theme for the photo challenge was "someone who inspires you" and this one was easy. I couldn't get a picture of all three boys together so I have separate pictures of each one. They truly do inspire me to be a better person in many ways.

I would stay up and post a little more but I really need to upload some pictures to be printed since I forgot last week and they're on sale again this week. I really need to catch up the boys' scrapbooks too since their piles of pictures are starting to add up quite a bit. It's tough finding time to do anything anymore!

Close Call

I couldn't find my card reader after searching what I thought was everywhere and so I almost had a very boring blog post! But after looking more carefully I came across a pocket I didn't know existed in my diaper bag behind where I thought I had put it and there it was! So now there will be a photo filled post:)

First off I missed out on posting last night since Korbin was tired and I wasn't arguing about going to sleep. I took the laptop upstairs but since it took a while to get him in a good sleep I wasn't going to risk waking him up.

Yesterday was Star Wars day...as they said "May the 'fourth' be with you". Since my husband is a Star Wars fan, even though he wasn't feeling good he took the boys outside to play with their light sabers. Yesterday's photo theme was also "fun" so these pictures all could fit in it.

I love how all of their light sabers are in this one

He could seriously do this for hours
Not long after we came in the temperature outside dropped about ten degrees and the sky turned way dark. It wasn't even supposed to rain and surprisingly only did for a few minutes but we thought we were in for quite the storm!
Today was kind of a lazy day. Korbin and I got up and went to the store to get donuts for everyone for breakfast. After the boys were awake enough I took them over to my mom's for the day to hang out. They love fighting with my brother so they had fun. I also retook some of the pictures of Korbin with the duck set I had made for him:) I know some people hate this stuff but I have fun with it and will continue doing them! It's not like I'm putting my little boys in tutu's or something!
My mom was talking to him to try and keep him content:)

He was out good sooo of course I said let's take pics!

He still managed to grab the yarn and make a mess even while asleep

As usual Bentley had to have his pic taken too and since today's theme was "bird" I took it with his stuffed duck:)
While the boys took naps I walked Korbin down to a garage sale that was only a couple of blocks away from mom's. I picked up a baby swing for her house and some Elmo toys. I don't know why but I love the little potato sack racer ones!!
Since Elmo was a baby Bentley had to put him in the swing

They actually jump and talk to each other!

Then tonight I bought some ice cream for everyone and the boys loved it since they haven't had any in quite a while:)

I also am attempting to "diet" again starting tomorrow so I pigged out tonight. I am not doing so hot on the weight loss lately and I really need to stick to something for once. I am going to start out dropping most snack foods again and cutting fast food and pop completely. I am also going to try and find the time to go running since I have really wanted to but just haven't had the chance lately. Things have been a little hectic for the past week and Korbin has been teething and is only happy with me so it's hard to get away for long at all...not that I could run for very long anyway but still.

Well since Korbin went to sleep at 7:15 tonight I suppose I should finish up what I want to get done and head to bed soon. I might have to stay up for this supermoon tonight though.....haven't decided yet. My sister let me borrow her Cricut since she had a Sesame Street cartridge and I'm going to try and make Bentley's birthday party invitations with it so maybe I'll try starting on those tonight:)

So much to do...

...so little time! I have about a million and one things I'd like to get done and keep feeling like I can't even get that one knocked off the list!

Today was just not my day to do anything I guess. I went to cash my check this morning (which isn't much at all keep in mind) and the lady at the bank gave me the wrong amount back. Glad I was smart enough to count it before getting anywhere, so I had to go around the block and back to the bank. Someone else was at the window when I got back and she told me they may have to count down that drawer so it might be a few minutes...awesome. I got lucky and she put the amount she actually gave me on their slip of what comes out of the drawer so they just gave me the other twenty and I was off to Hy-Vee.

That stop wasn't any better. I got a dozen donuts and pop for everyone but me. I got home with it and sure enough, they gave me long johns with no filling when I specifically said I wanted the filled ones. This ruined mine and my husbands breakfast:(

Work wasn't too crazy, which was good because I wasn't in the mood to be swamped like we were yesterday. I was just kind of blah today and wasn't wanting to do a lot. We were steady though so the day went by fast.

Otherwise the day was uneventful. I updated the 3 month page of Korbin's baby book before I forget everything. I'm pretty proud of myself for keeping up on his book so far! Much better than I have done with the other two boys' books. I tried taking his 3 month pics but it got to be too late and he gets more fussy at night so I decided to wait til tomorrow. I am in love with the setup I have though so I realllly hope they turn out as cute as I want!! Hopefully I'll be able to share some cute pictures tomorrow:)

I've been starting to plan out Bentley's birthday party already. It's coming up quick (next month) and I know it'll take a while for everything to come together so I've got to get moving. We are going with Elmo since he is absolutely obsessed right now! He gets mad if he isn't wearing an Elmo shirt and we only have a few of them:s I love Pinterest right now because I've seen a few super cute ideas on there! I can't wait for it all to come together.

Today's theme for the photo challenge was "something you wore today" and I tried getting a picture of me wearing Korbin tonight but since I left my camera bag at my mom's it wasn't working to hold the camera out with the lens I have on right now....so instead I took a pic of my favorite jeans I wore today. I just pulled them out a few days ago because they hadn't fit for quite a while and somehow they fit like normal again:)

Well I'm off to attempt some sleep. I got to sleep in until 7am this morning and thought that was amazing but I have a feeling it won't happen again tomorrow. I hate considering 7am sleeping in...I don't think I could sleep past 9 anymore even without kids!

Skyline

I got distracted last night and forgot to upload this so here it is! I may have taken it while driving so its nothing special! Off to work now or Id post more!

What a Day...

First of all my baby is already three months old today! Where in the world has the time gone?! He is growing so fast but is so sweet right now. I really just want to freeze time and keep him like this forever so I don't need more babies! I had planned on taking pictures today but only got a couple because of something else major that happened (will explain shortly) so here are the few I did manage to get today

I had to work this morning and we were surprisingly busy the whole shift. Not long before I was supposed to get off the phone rang and when Annette answered she handed it to me. I was thrown off because nobody has ever called there for me before. It was my mother in law saying that my husband's work had called and he was taken to the hospital because he hit his head. She said they had tried calling me and she had also but I didn't answer (didn't have my phone on me) so she called work. I checked my phone right after hanging up and sure enough I had 7 missed calls from his work number.

I obviously took off from work right away even though I was starving and really wanted to grab something to eat. I didn't want to take the time to make anything though, especially having no idea what condition he was in. It really bothered me that he didn't call or text and that made me think it was serious.

By the time I got up to Humboldt it was about an hour after the accident. I went in and asked where he was and they said he was back having x-rays so I could sit and wait. That was awkard because their ER waiting room is the same as outpatient where I have gone for OB appointments in the past. His boss was in the room and explained that a piece of steel had fallen and he had a good bump on his head and his shoulder and knee also were hurt. He explained that he was able to talk and answer all the questions he was asked except his age (I said I never know mine either).

Finally they brought him back through and I was able to go talk to him. Thankfully he was talking like normal and I could tell it wasn't extremely serious (to his head anyway). He told me that he was moving a piece of steel and somehow it fell and he tried to slow it down and that's how he hurt his shoulder, but it still hit him in the head. The piece of steel was about 500lbs so he is more than lucky to be alive right now.

After a lot of waiting around they finally came back and said that the CT scan came back fine and he was able to get off of the board he was still on from the ambulance ride. It's hard to believe that with something so large hitting him there was no major damage. He was able to walk away with a nasty mark to show from it though and hasn't been cleared to go back to work yet.

In good news for the day we bought tickets to take the boys to see Sesame Street Live in two weeks! I am soo excited! Bentley is completely obsessed with Elmo right now so I know he will just love it. It is a superhero show and that's the stuff Jax is into so I think he will enjoy it too:) It'll be hard to be away from Korbin that long but my mom offered to keep him so it'll be nice to spend some time with the older two for once too. I can't wait to go!

As for the picture of the day...I have it on my phone so I'll upload it on here in a separate blog shortly. It was "skyline" and I took it while on the way back from Humboldt on my phone so it's nothing exciting at all. It has been gloomy and somewhat rainy all evening so there was nothing nice:(

Anyways, I'm off to bed now since Korbin had me up at 5:45 and the other two were up way earlier than usual also. Of course if Korbin isn't up early tomorrow I have to wake up to get Jax ready for preschool so I'll be up early no matter what. Oh the joys of parenthood! At least the kids are totally worth the lack of sleep<3

Just Another Day

Another unexciting day...Korbin woke me up at around 1am and I had to bring him downstairs so he didn't wake everyone else up and we ended up sleeping on the couch. He decided 6:15 was wake up time even though I didn't agree...too bad I have no choice! I had to work again today at lunch so that took up a chunk of my day.

I'm pretty tired now but I have to watch 16 and Pregnant because I have a stupid addiction to the show. Some of these girls I actually feel bad for but some are just plain stupid. I have absolutely nothing against teen moms who can take care of their babies but I am glad that I waited until after I was married to start having kids. I know we have had some hard times even though we are married and all but I couldn't begin to imagine how different my life would have been if I would've had a kid earlier than I did.

Before I continue rambling on about nothing I'll go ahead and post my first picture for the May photo challenge. Today's theme was "peace." I love sleeping babies and how peaceful they look so that was an easy one for me

I really wanted to take the boys out and take some pictures of them outside today but they took late naps and then Korbin got fussy so that was a no go. Of course it's supposed to rain the next few days too so maybe this weekend I can try and take them out for a few.
