Been a while

Ahh! I've been so busy but I feel like I've accomplished nothing since I last posted! I'm finally done with training at work so now moving on to less annoying people finally.  Since it was the last week of training though it also meant it was my last week of spending my evenings with the boys. Now I'll be working til 8pm which will suck but at least we won't be waking up the kids at 6am to go to daycare. Anyway, so since I won't see them in the evenings anymore I decided to take the week nights and do something fun instead of the normal housework and editing I probably should have done...but hey-that stuff can wait and it did! We spent a night at McDonald's playplace which went much better than I expected and then another night at the park with Tyler and Amber, oh and some other little girl Jax kept trying to chase lol!

Thursday night Toad left with the boys to head to Iowa to pick up his Grandmother. She is staying with us until after Bentley's party. Most people are like "oh god how are you going to handle that?" Honestly, if I had to have anyone stay with us it would be her. She's much more of a grandma to me than my own are so I'll take it! Plus she absolutely loves the boys so I can't deny her some time with them since we moved them miles away.

Since they've been gone I've been trying to catch up on what I ddin't get done the rest of the week! Thursday I ended up going out with a friend I hadn't seen for a while so that was awesome. Other than that though all I've been doing is cleaning, laundry, editing, scrapbooking, and more editing! I am finally done with these wedding pictures though and for the most part I was really happy with them! I downloaded Lightroom and it works wonders for cutting down editing time BUT I learned the hard way to be patient because after I thought I was about done I realized the error I kept getting and ignoring was saying that I was removing the files before they had completely exported so I lost everything I'd done:( Oh well, now I know better!

So now they are supposed to be home in a few hours and I'm just finishing my catch-up with everything and figured I'd post a few of my wedding favs here!

I really wish he wouldn't have been looking at the camera here but I still love the emotion in this picture. Long story short, the bride's daughter was at the wedding at the bride had absolutely no idea this was happening. It was super sweet and the person who organized the whole thing is the one she is walking with.

I tried not to add too many on here but there's an idea of some I took. It was so hard condensing from the 1000+ pictures I took down to the almost 400 I ended up with but I made it!

Wedding Weekend Update

I never thought that after my own wedding I would ever be so stressed about another wedding! Well this week I checked the weather every day and it went from rain predicted for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, to just 2 days, to just Saturday...it was basically doomed to rain for the first beach wedding I was supposed to photograph. When I woke up Saturday morning and it was raining I was upset but what do you do? So I checked the hourly forecast and it was supposed to stop raining by 10am, then rain again from about 1-2: the wedding was scheduled for 1.

Well as the day went on it got cloudy on and off but didn't rain anymore! It was so nice out and even though it was warm and humid-I'd take anything over the rain! So we got the outdoor wedding. After seeing how small the reception hall was too I was very thankful for this.
I glanced through all of the shots I got last night after I got home and I was extremely pleased with the fact that I will have very little editing to do this time because I was happy with most sooc! I have only made it through converting the first portion of pictures from the day (I only shot in RAW and blogger only uploads them after they're converted to jpg) up through the bride getting ready so far so here's a small sneak peak of what I've gone through.
I love the lighting in this picture and that was even sooc!
Bride and her MOH while getting ready:)
Checking herself out in the mirror
I loved their decorations! The pink of course throws off the balance for pictures but that just means to be more careful:)
I can't wait to continue getting through the actual ceremony! The only thing I was bummed about was the fact that we didn't get to do more outdoor shots like we planned because it got extremely windy. But I'll take what we got over none at all! More to come later...

Patty cake, patty cake...

...baker's man. Bake me a cake as fast as you can!

My kids love that:) This weekend I was trying to figure out what to do and while cleaning the kitchen I saw the empty frame in there and decided maybe I should take some pictures for it! So I went to my prop closet (sadly yes I have a whole closet of random photography props) and found the little chef hat I bought forever ago, and took some pictures:)

Bentley was ok for the first few but then of course wanted to crawl away. I managed to get a few cute ones. The whole time I was trying to get pictures of Bentley, Jaxton was running around saying he wanted his picture taken too so I ended up letting him do some and he had way more fun with it!

And in case you're wondering what kept him so entertained-there were a few M&M's in the bowl he was stirring and then putting on the spoon to eat:)

Two more down!

6. Go a week with no fast food
23.Go a week with no pop

It was kind of torture doing both in a week but it didn't really hit me until yesterday. I wanted a pop soo bad and everywhere I went I walked by it! I held out though because I wasn't going to cave on the last day. This morning I ran over to McDonalds just for a nice Mr Pibb though!

I'm trying to get some of the simpler goals done so I'm not cramming them in at the end. I thought about taking the boys to fly a kite today but we didn't make it anywhere. Bentley is teething again and poor Jaxton got a horrible diaper rash so we stayed in. Oh well...there's plenty more time for it!

Yesterday's cleaning spree

Yesterday I decided to super clean the house so I wouldn't have to do anything today. Of course by now it's a mess again and I feel like I should clean but I refuse! It wasn't too bad until I got to the boys' room. I always dread cleaning their room because it looks like this

I really do clean their room ALL the time but it seems to look like this every time I turn around. They both find it amusing to take the toys out of the toybox and off the shelves as I am putting them away so it takes forever. Anyways I finally decided to finish Jaxton's name letters for above his bed so their room is actually "officially" finished. I still will have to do another coat of paint and gloss over Jaxton's dresser since he decided to color on it but I'm not counting that. Which also means another goal down-Jaxton's room is redone! Here are a few pics of their room just for fun-after cleaning of course:)
Bentley's side:

The toybox that is wayy too full
Jaxton's Side:

I can't wait until we have a bigger house and can have a play room again so they don't have so much crap in their rooms! I'm just glad their room is fairly big so it holds as much as it does.

Dr, Beach, Blog

Yep, that pretty much sums up the main parts of my day! The morning started out pretty cute. Jaxton slept with us last night because I was too lazy to take him to his bed and when we woke up this morning he turned to me and said "Hi mom mom" and gave me a kiss<3 I couldn't start my morning off any better than that!

Training was horrible today and I was very thankful for the fact that I was able to leave after lunch even if it was just to go to the dr. One of the girls in our class has never heard of Bluetooth before and she isn't very quick anyway so it took almost the entire morning for her to get the concept of it. Talk about a drag for someone who's been around that stuff for 3 years already...

The dr appt didn't quite go as expected but didn't turn out too bad either. The dr was very nice but he didn't pay a lot of attention to the problems I was having. He did a quick ultrasound and said I do have a couple of cysts but otherwise he didn't see anything that could be causing problems so it is probably hormonal. Meaning either take birth control or get pregnant...well since we've kind of been trying anyway now we just get help with it:) So hopefully there will be another baby in the near future for us! He said it usually takes a few cycles though but I'll be monitored each one anyway so it'll be nice to know whether or not there's even a chance every month.

After my appt it was too late to go back to work so I just went for a walk on the beach for a while-with my camera of course. It was so nice out that I couldn't pass up the chance! The water was freezing (I only barely stepped in) and I have no idea how people were actually swimming in it! There were also tons of people parasailing. I want to do this soo bad someday! I didn't know I'd be going to the beach so I only had my 35mm lens with me so don't mind the fact that the pics are closer up for these guys.

This is the sand all over the place on a lot of the areas of the beach-just covered in shells and broken fragments of shells. It looks really cool in places but makes it hard to walk without shoes!
I hate that the colored spots got in there but I still like the picture. If my computer wasn't bugging me I'd go edit it but I still like the picture anyway.

This is how gorgeous it looked out there today. The view mixed with the perfect weather just made for a nice quiet afternoon:)

And I had to add this little guy. He was in the middle of the road down the street from daycare so you know I got out of the car just to take a picture of him!

I'm pretty proud of myself for blogging a few days in a row! I always think about blogging more but never do so I finally decided I was just going to do it. Still going on the no fast food and no pop this week too...I'd kill for some Mr Pibb right now but I'm going to do this!

Anyways, off to scrapbooking and probably going to bed early tonight....

Nervous for tomorrow

I haven't been to the doctor since the end of January when we moved. Now we have insurance and it's time to start up again so I can figure out what is going on with me. Most of you probably know about the issues I've been having since after I had Bentley and if you don't you probably don't care to and you might want to just skip over this part. I'm really nervous because I am pretty sure they are going to say a)I need surgery to correct the problem or b)I won't be able to have more kids easily. Lucky for my our insurance covers 100% of infertility issues. For those who don't know we have been trying to conceive for about seven months now. Yes, I know I have to wonderfuly boys and I should be happy I have them. I am, but I still just feel that emptiness where I want at least one more. Preferrably a girl this time but I know I can't always have what I ask for:) Anyways, I really just want answers more than anything right now and I'll deal with whatever else is thrown at me as it comes along.

Had to get that little rant out. It's been stressing me out because believe it or not I really don't like going to the doctor or even calling them at all. You would think after my last pregnancy that I would be used to it by now but nope. I still hate it all and get too worked up every time I have to go.

On another note I have completed another goal that I haven't posted yet. I went all of April without even going close to Wal-Mart! Yep, I did it! I still haven't gone and don't plan to anytime soon either. Along with that I have gotten a lot more scrapbook pages done as well as finished a few more books. I have been in the mood to read a lot lately, which is a good thing because it occupies me during training since everyone else moves at snails pace in there.

Well I suppose I should start getting Jaxton to wind down some and maybe go watch a movie or read some more. I started The Lovely Bones today and am pretty sure it's going to be finished pretty quickly because it's good so far! I'll probably be back to update more tomorrow!

March of Dimes

I've been wanting to walk for the March of Dimes for a while now and this is the first year I found out about it before it was over! We went as a family and although the thought of taking the boys for that long of a walk was pretty intimidating it went fairly decent. When we got there I think both boys were slightly overwhelmed with so many people running around but once we started walking Bentley was out for at least the first mile, until I ran into the curb thinking it was low enough to get up to the sidewalk. Oops. Around mile 4 Jaxton passed out and Bentley started getting restless so I ended up having to carry him the last mile and a half but it was easier than pushing the double stroller! It ended up being perfect weather for the walk and we all got a little sun but not too much at all. I'm so glad we were able to participate. Here are a few pictures from the walk.
 Jax being goofy.
 Bentley's naptime.
Jax was sleeping in this one. Bentley was actually awake but looks like he was sleeping here too.
 End of the walk!
I wish the cup wasn't blocking Jaxton's face here but this was after the walk was over:)
