Back at it!

Since we FINALLY have internet hooked up again I plan to start blogging again. I really enjoy it just never had the time when I always had to go elsewhere to post.

Obviously a lot has happened since the last time I got around to posting:) I completed another one of my goals of having another baby! We welcomed Korbin Lincoln James into our family on February 2, 2012. He was 3 1/2 weeks early and made quite the appearance by coming out before my doctor even arrived (thankfully his pediatrician also does deliveries!) and then wasn't breathing well and his heartrate kept dropping. About half an hour later he was absolutely perfect and snuggled in my arms where he belonged.

My biggest fear about having him was how Bentley would react. He has always been a complete mama's boy and didn't even like me holding Jaxton. When he came to the hospital he didn't want much to do with me, especially when I had Korbin. He warmed back up a tad when I let others hold the baby though. When we left the hospital, we had to pick up the older two from my mom's. When I walked in the door with Korbin in my arms Bentley dropped the toy he had been playing with and started bawling. I was overly emotional anyway so of course I handed off Korbin then sat down with Bentley and hugged him and cried too (apparently the hormones are still there because I'm tearing up writing this).

After the first day or so he became my little helper. He always wants to sit with Korbin and I, is always bringing me a blanket if it isn't over Korbin, and helps throw away his diapers lol. He absolutely loves holding him and giving him kisses<3 Jaxton helps when asked but otherwise he'd rather fight with Bentley or be on his own.

Another big step for me having Korbin was the fact that I decided to try breastfeeding. Before having him I thought it was odd for people to really talk about it a whole lot and especially do it in front of others, but that was definitely then! The first few days were a slight challenge because he wasn't quite latching right and had been having some formula (thanks to the hospital) until my milk came in. I don't mind that they were trying to help a little since I had no idea what I was doing but I finally decided after being home a couple of days to throw away the nipples so hubby couldn't be tempted with it and put the formula away. We have been great since! Today we even had our first experience with nursing in public. It was just at the hospital and I was basically hidden but that was a big step for me and I am proud to say I had no problem with it and he wasn't covered either, although nothing was showing. I am so glad I chose this route this time around and it makes me wish I had with the other two even more. The past is the past though and I'm glad I changed:)

Other than baby news there isn't a whole lot that has been going on. I'm going back to work next week which is good and not at the same time...I'll miss my baby but it's only for a few hours a day and I will be happy to have a little extra spending money again without having to ask for it. It'll be a good way to help me with dieting a little too since it's only healthy food there!

Tomorrow I'll try to share some of my favorite pics I've taken lately (mostly Korbin) and I'll also be starting the March Photo a Day Challenge! I saw a lot of people doing this in February but it was already a few days in so I decided to wait. Here is what to look forward to:

Well I had my wisdom teeth out this morning and it's time for more ice so off I go for now! It's already driving me crazy since my left side doesn't hurt much but the right side is HUGE:s Hopefully it doesn't get too much crazier in the next couple of days
