Mmm

Yesterday I set a record. I went to Michaels and walked out spending under $2 and it wasn't even on me! Jaxton asked very sweetly to have this sucker so I couldn't say no. Just had to share because these crack me up.
Notice the nice color everywhere in the second one:)
I'm not sure why they are posting sideways but I'm working on fixing it!

Easter!

We had an awesome Easter! It was strange not having to go visit our families all day but instead we were able to spend the entire day as a family of our own. We dyed and decorated some eggs the night before which was very fun. About 80% were cracked that Jaxton helped with but he enjoyed himself so that's all that matters!

The Easter Bunny came!
I am in love with this picture. I made him sit with Bentley to go through his Easter basket because we were going through Bentley's scrapbook and there's tons of pictures of me and him but none with daddy. Obviously he loves daddy though:)
He is such a little sweetie! He is seriously almost always smiling unless he's tired.
Say Cheese!! He was pretty happy today and for once wasn't giving attitude most of the day!
Here was Jaxton's lunch-well part of it! I love doing these random fun things for him now that he's old enough to understand a little
And we finally got to Skype with my mom for a bit! Jaxton loved it. He doesn't always have a long attention span with it but Kayden was on there too and my mom was singing 5 little monkeys lol
And thinking about eating his chocolate bunny. Daddy took a big bite but Jaxton nibbled for a second and was done.
They were both worn out by the end of the day. There are a ton more pics on Facebook from the day. We played outside for quite a bit with his new chalk, football, and bubbles. It was so nice having a day to just hang out with the boys and not worry about anything else:)

Goal 97

97. Don't use Facebook for a week. DONE! I didn't even accidentally touch it and it was much much easier than expected.

Now I've been messing with redoing my blog for the past hour and can't get it to tile for some reason and it has that darn Shabby blog thing at the top when I made the background and everything myself. Not sure what's going on there but I think I'm going to move on to something else for the night and catch back up on it tomorrow. Maybe I'll update with Easter pics in a bit if I get through them fast enough. If not-there's always tomorrow:)

Edit: Figured it out finally!!

Another one down

I've been moving along with some of these goals lately! Between today and yesterday I managed to accomplish goal 100-Encourage someone else to do the Day Zero Project. My instructor from my training class at work started one AND one of the girl in the class started one too:)

Also, today was day 6 of no Facebook and still doing just fine! Tomorrow is my last day already. It has actually flown by and I really haven't missed it that much surprisingly.

Two in a Row

My second day in a row of posting! Doesn't seem like that happens very often anymore even though I think about posting all of the time. I made it through day two of no Facebook yesterday and actually enjoyed it! After posting I managed to clean a little more and get some laundry done. Not all of it of course but that'll hopefully happen in the next couple of days. I hate not having a washer and dryer yet! Maybe by next month we'll be able to get something now that we'll have steady income again.

Once Jaxton went down for his nap I decided to give Bentley full range of the bathtub. I usually just give the boys their baths together since it's so much quicker and easier for me so since he's been out of the Bumbo he hasn't had his own bath. Needless to say, he loved it.

Then after switching laundry at Amber's and talking with her I volunteered to take Tyler so she could shower in peace. It was a nice little playdate since the boys haven't seen eachother much in the past couple of weeks. Then Bentley decided it was naptime though and not long after Tyler must've had enough because I thought I smelled something (my allergies are horrible so I can't smell much) and I looked down and he poop everywhere-just on him luckily. I panicked a little because my stomach has hated me the past couple of days and I wasn't sure what to do with his helmet if I threw him in my tub so he got sent back to mommy!

I try to let Jaxton do something fun when he's in a good mood and since he hasn't played with his Legos for a long time (I keep them put up now) I pulled them out to play with. He was way excited and loved them way more than the last time he had gotten to play with them. They were something new to Bentley and he wanted to help-even if big brother didn't appreciat it-at all.
Jax just kept building with them and using his 'guys' to bounce off of them like they were buildings. He eventually grabbed one of his car garages and brought that out to put next to them too just to add to the game. It kept him entertained for quite a while surprisingly. Unfortunately where I put them away after last night didn't work out great and he found them already this morning again so I'll have to find another hiding place but at least he is content right now!
Oh, and don't worry, after these pictures he had his bath too lol.

Once the boys went to bed Toad and I watched the new Harry Potter movie since it was already on On Demand. It showed me I definitely need to get through the books before going to see the last movie!

Random add-on to this post. I realized while going through my Day Zero Project list that I had number 40 in progress still. It took me a bit to figure out what I was in the process of buying when I marked it that way but I bought a camera bag off of my Etsy wishlist. I still have mixed feelings on this bag as it isn't as wonderful as it appeared in the description and pictures, but it holds all my camera supplies so I can't complain too much.

Amber and I both got one of these, in different designs, before we shot our first wedding back last month. It'll definitely work for a while, until I got on a streak of feeling the need for new lenses anyway!

Well off to another afternoon now. Not sure what's in the game plan for today but hopefully long naps for both boys-mommy wants to scrapbook!

Facebook

So one of my Day Zero projects is to go a week without Facebook. Yesterday morning I woke up and decided I was going to do this now. In two and a half years when the project is over it probably wouldn't be as big of a deal to go without Facebook anyway, but why not try it. I read a post on BG about someone not getting online much for a while because the internet consumes so much of our lives anymore and it made me think. I am still going to be on here and occasionally BG I'm sure but for the most part I'm going to stay away from the internet.

It already made me more productive this morning. Instead of getting up with the boys and then checking my FB I started cleaning right away. I picked up the livingroom, kitchen, and dining room and then moved all of the furniture and swept. That was as chore! I still need to do dishes but I at least have laundry started also. The bedrooms are going to be fun. They boys' room is such a disaster I don't even know where to begin! I am however hoping to find my missing iPod in there at some point. I think I'll start on it once Bentley gets up from his morning nap.  Maybe I'll even take before and after pictures. It's embarrassing how disgusting it is but with the way Jaxton empties the toybox and then Bentley helps pull everything around the room-it only takes 10 minutes to be destroyed (and then an hour to clean).

The rest of my afternoon was going to be spent taking Easter pictures of the boys but it rained last night so it's too wet outside:( Maybe tomorrow. I think I'll mow and maybe scrapbook during naptime though!

Day Zero Updates

I forgot that I can actually add to this! I have completed another goal along with making steps toward a few others since I last posted.

4.Try 5 new foods (1/5) Yes I only put five foods. I am the pickiest eater ever so getting me to try new things is yough. However Jody managed to talk me into trying calamari when we were hanging out. I didn't know exactly what I was eating until after I tried it but I knew it was some type of seafood. It wasn't as bad as I expected and was actually fairly bland.
Don't mind the quality of the pics by the way, they were taken on my phone.

32.Meet a new friend. I made these goals before knowing we were moving 19 hours away from home but I really don't consider a lot of people true friends because I don't open up to many people easily. Most people will say I'm really quiet after they meet me and that'll last quite a while because I just don't trust people I guess. Anyway, Jody and I work/ed together at BWW and decided to become friends. Yes, that sounds lame but we do get along and both enjoy having someone to hang out with and vent to!

71. Go to 5 new restaurants (4/5) Obviously moving across the country we are going to try several new restaurants but once again, this was made before we decided to move. PoFolks was the first new place we tried the first week we were here. There have been others (including BWW) but since I didn't update before I'll add the three recent ones from this week and maybe finish it off tomorrow! Jody and I went to Margaritaville (where we had the calamari) and TGI Fridays when we hung out so there is two. Then Toad and I went out to lunch today on our break to Roys. They have hot dogs and burgers there-it was a cute simple little place!

So yep-there's my update!

First Day

So today I hesitantly started at Sprint. I've never really wanted to work in a call center before because I'm more of a get up and move person, but I figured I'd give it a shot since they money is decent and it's a steady job. It went much better than I expected which is good news I suppose. My trainer is awesome and it's a group of 10 of us training so it's not too big.

Toad and I even got to go to lunch together on break! It was our first time doing anything without the kiddos since we moved so it was enjoyed. We went to some quiet little hot dog and burger joint in a strip mall by the beach. It was so much like George's from home, except the fries weren't very good.

Due to people being idiots I'm not sure if I even still have my job at BWW but I'm really not worried about it either. I said I'd stay on weekends and on call if they needed me when I get off at 5 but they weren't too happy about it. There can be good money there but sometimes the idiots I feel like I have to babysit aren't even worth the $150 nights. I'm hoping Sprint will be a little easier on the stress levels for me and only dealing with business customers instead of regular customers should help even more.

There isn't a whole lot else going on. Oh except we had to give Jaxton a haircut at home last night:O Toad took him to SuperCuts yesterday afternoon because his bangs were getting in his eyes but the poor kid hates haircuts so we put off taking him as long as possible. Well after throwing a fit for 5 minutes they said they weren't cutting his hair. After he fell asleep last night I started chopping away and let's just say I didn't do a great job. So he woke up to me cutting and we ended up just taking the clippers to it. It doesn't look bad but it's so weird seeing my baby with such short hair!

Anyways, off to shower and go cuddle with Jaxton since we now have to get up early everyday!
