Mom's Surprise 50th

So I'm a day late posting because I got too busy to get it done last night. I did get my pictures taken though. Yesterday's theme for Day 10 was Sparkle. I made my mom's birthday card for her surprise party last night. It had plenty of glitter (and candles)!

Sadly it didn't make it to the party:( The wind blew a good chunk of the candles off when I carried it to the car...I stopped and bought some superglue on the way there to try and fix it but unfortunately it didn't work. So that was a huge bust.

My mom's party was a surprise and it worked pretty well. She had a Sonshine Singers concert and they always go out for margaritas afterwards at Lomitas. When they got there she was bummed because she thought everyone would be there for a party! Then my aunt Jody suggested they go out for a beer after they were done and brought her down to the Brass Monkey. She was definitely surprised with the outcome there! The bar owner was in charge of decorations and chose to have a 60's theme so here is mom getting dressed after arriving

 Overall we had a good night. I started having a drink when we got there but it was burned and didn't taste good at all so I stuck with water all night. We surprised her with some friends from out of town that we got to come so it was a lot of fun. Around 8:30 I of course left and came home to put the kids to bed and make sure Korbin had enough to eat. I went back a little after 9 but we were home by 9:30 anyway and in bed not long after! It sucks getting old lol
